The Ending...

I woke up feeling even more random then usual and strangely out of sorts today...
This has been rattling round in my head...

"It feels like something has ended
But I have no idea what it is
I woke with a feeling of change
Of something that I had somehow missed

The end of something has happened
But i'm not sure what or why
It happenend while I was sleeping
And i'm left with the urge to cry

Maybe today's an anniversary
Of events long past and forgotten
A memory laying dormant within me
A friend that was not recalled often

Today I feel like something ended
Within me I felt a 'goodbye'
I still do not know what it was
And I still fight the urge to cry"

  1. What a beautiful poem - I am so envious of anyone that can write poetry. Are things looking any different today? Did you get to the bottom of it, or was it just "one of those things".

  2. Gosh, very touching. I have days like those. Mich x

    Lovely post.
    Very thought provoking.
I often have days where i feel strangely morose and i don't really know why.
    Probably hormonal ;<)

  4. I know what you mean - a feeling of sadness that you can't quite put your finger on.

Once it sets in it can be hard to shake.

    Hope tomorrow's better. x

  5. Hey I tagged you on my blog - sharing shoes maybe your jazz ones?

A lovely poem. It somehow made me feel really calm, maybe it's the rhythm...
BTW I've tagged you on my blog

  7. This happens to me sometimes, I have an overwhelming feeling of sadness I cant quite identify.

I guess we all go through these phases.
I tell my daughter the're all part of the cycle of life, one minute you're sad,the next you could be smiling or laughing your head off.
    Beautifully written!

  9. Beautiful. I have been on a poetry kick the past few weeks.

Sometimes it's the best way to get things out.

  10. Forgot to give you link of post and poem think u might relate too.

I'd love to know what you thought of the post...
